Regularly $54 on sale for $42 ::::: I have this made and ready to ship- clearing out space in my purse storage room!
** NOTE ** I have several cuts of fabric I'm using for this style. The square placement will be approximately the same, but I can't guarantee the colors will all be in the exact squares shown in the photo. The color pallet will always be orange, dark blue, sky blue, white, and black.
The lines on this style are so great... like a vintage car. It's long and lean but holds quite a bit. The style has a softly structured body; meaning it's got a lot of give, but the shape will stay the same when filled with your goodies and will sit up. This is NOT a hard-body purse, it squishes-- but it's lined with stabilizer to give it shape. The shape will hold up well unless you over-cram it! The single strap design is functional and sassy, my favorite combo.
This fabric has a good story. I purchased it many, many years ago from a local woman who had been in Mexico and found new-old fabric tucked away in a back room of a shop. She was in a tailor's shop, noticed a back room, and asked what was in there. "Oh, just old fabric"- so she asked if she could see it, and proceeded to buy it all up! She sold it in Austin, out of her house, but at the time it was way too expensive for me to buy much of... and so it slipped out of my hands. I got what I could, and have sat on it for so many years, it's a delight to sew with it finally. It's like buried treasure. A never used, silk screened textile from Mexico. ahhhh....
The lining is turquoise satin.
