Using a classic style and adding embellishments that were inspired by vintage patterns and clothing, I came up with this awesome purse. There's something magical about button collections, and though it's been years since I've used buttons on my purses, I still had my stash. This kicked off the new line of Vintage Inspired totes as well as a new hunt for vintage buttons or new buttons with a fabulous old look.

Each purse has either silk dupioni tabs with buttons pinning them down, or a feminine ruffle design made from different colors of silk. The back has a fortune at the top, and the lining is satin- just like those incredible bags of the 40s and 50s. The body of the purse is stabilized enough to have a soft but structured look, and the bottom is stiff and has metal purse feet.
