| Nothing beats
a simple little tote. They’re
cute and small, yet they carry a lot of stuff. I use either
heavy weight upholstery fabric, or lighter weight fabrics
combined with a heavier weight inner lining so that the tote
retains a nice shape and is more durable. The applique work
on the front of the purses are designs I draw,
cut out, and sew on using a satin stitch. I use fun cotton
prints, satins, brocades, and fake fur to create the designs.
There’s
a snap tab to keep the purse closed (and to
add general cuteness to the bag), and
a printed fabric fortune on the back to bring a smile. The
purses are lined with satin to give that silky feel when
you slip your hand in to grab what you need. There are two
pockets inside to help you keep organized. This tote
is all about fun times. |
