Big Blue Sea

Being blue never felt so good. This purse has some seriously great colors on it. The body is made with iridescent dupioni silk (see photo and description below), and the design on it was all cut from brocades and more iridescent silk. Being a big fan of the curly cue design, I try to put it on a lot of my bags –on this one it's bright green to match the bamboo leaves in the brocade design.The curly cue is a mother to sew on, but the end result is quite pleasing. Another touch I gave to this bag is on the handles. I added a rectangle of pea green silk in the middle of each one and top stitched it so I could officially call it a design element. On the back of the bag, I top stitched some curls. The purse has a hard bottom and silver purse feet. The tab closure has a magnetic snap and the lining is bright green satin.
