You can kind of see the pattern on the white material- it's shimmery and swirly, but subtle so it doesn't compete with the design.

Mood Enhancer

I made this bag during a week where I was having some serious attitude problems. I was in such a funk I had to rely on purse therapy. Diving into a project always helps, so I came up with this happy guy! The body is made with a deep red dupioini silk and the back pocket (yes- POCKET!) is made with turquoise silk. The design on the front is a mixture of silks, top stitching and moire taffeta. The skull is a soft white color with a great pattern that gives it more depth than flat white (see detail photo below). The flower shaped eyes are made with an icy turquoise and the note and heart on the forehead are appliqued silk. The rest I did with the machine. Since it's free-hand, the bag you order may not be exactly as seen, but it will be close. The back pocket is made with silk, lined with turquoise satin and embellished with a great strip of vintage ribbon. The bottom has purse feet to help with wear and tear, and the bag snaps together with a tab at the top. I couldn't help myself when it came to choosing a lining color- it had to be bold! It's electric pink. This purse makes me smile!
