Can you
believe these vibrant colors!? I've made this pattern before,
but I'm still dazzled by it every time. The red is so luscious
and fiery. It has a depth to it that really burns. The
design I put on the front is done in cool colors to compliment
the red. The smaller orbs are made with circles of brocade-
one being part of a very old, much hoarded vintage piece
that I'm finally about to run out of. The wavy pattern
of the brocade is hard to photograph, in person it changes
at every turn of the purse. The large circle is dark turquoise
dupioni silk that I top stitched a circular pattern onto.
The rest of the pattern is something I drew out and satin
stitched. I will make duplicates of this purse, and since
I'm not a machine, the pattern may have very slight variations.
The bottom is stiff and has silver purse feet for cuteness
and for protection. There's a tab at the top with a magnetic
snap, and the lining is bright turquoise satin.
