Geometry
in Green
Several
months ago I decided that I had to
buy the dyed brocade for sale at Silk
Road, but at the time didn't know what I was
going to do with it. Because it wasn't inexpensive, I couldn't
just stash it away. This purse was born from that purchase!
I love the colors- they're so earthy and well, green. I
used olive green dupioni for the base and the straps, and
added circles of chartreuse and pale green. The top stitching
was done to compliment the colors and tie the designs together.
I went crazy with this one and added a nice little something
on the back too! The large orb on the bottom of the front
wraps under as seen in photos below. As with all the silk
totes, I added metal purse feet and a nice sized snap flap
on the top. The lining is gold satin.
