Big Blue Sea

Being blue never felt so good. This purse has some seriously great colors on it. The body is made with iridescent dupioni silk (see photo and description below), and the design on it was all cut from brocades and more iridescent silk. The bright green curley cue was made to match the bamboo leaves in the brocade design. Another touch I gave to this bag is on the handles. I added a rectangle of pea green silk in the middle of each one and. On the back of the bag, I top stitched some curls. The purse has a hard bottom and silver purse feet. The tab closure has a magnetic snap and the lining is bright green satin.

Sorry all the blues look different- I don't understand why it's so hard to shoot this particular color. The photo above shows the color as accurately as I can capture it. It's a bright peacock blue with a crossweave of green, giving it an extra sheen when turned to the side.
