The
Latin Lover
My friend,
Jennifer, took one look at this purse and said, "that
has to be named The Latin Lover ", and so it
became. The warm colors embrace you like Miguel, and the dark
flower looks like the red rose he gave you by moonlight after
a steamy night of salsa dancing. I wish I could describe the
color of the silk better, but all I can think of is that it's
sort of a dark roast, coffee bean color. It sets off the reds
perfectly. The smaller orbs are made from dupioni silk and
brocade, and the shiny flower is from some brocade I bought
locally- dyed by the shop owner to give it it's dark shimmer.
The larger circle is made with a pewter colored dupioni silk
and top stitched with a circular pattern. The back has a crazy,
Etch-a-Sketch looking design that I doubt I could reproduce
twice. Every purse will have something similar, but never
the exact same pattern. The bottom of the bag is stiff and
has dark, metallic purse feet. The body is snapped together
with a tab and magnetic snap. The lining, as only a hot-blooded
Latin would have it, is red satin. tssss!
