When
I first came up with the octopus design, I played around
with different fabrics for the applique. This is one
of them- it's cut from an Indian sari. Very pretty material,
but hard to work with- so... this is it! This is the only
one I plan on making! The octopus is red with glittery
gold stitching and is against a background of burgundy
colored canvas. The lining is gold satin and the body of
the bag is black canvas. The strap is black webbing. I
didn't put pom poms on him because it just seemed right
without them!
