Temple Bird

These colors and fabrics are AMAZING together! So dramatic! With the muted golden background of the flap and the bright red of the silk wings, I pictured this bird flying into an shadowy, ancient temple filled with incense. The bird applique has two brocades- one black with red half-moons all over it, and the other black with a bronze pattern of flowers. It's all so shimmery, but in a dark, mysterious way. I used black pom poms, a black webbed strap (adjustable), red satin for the lining, and upholstery fabric for the body. It's a gold color with soft red hatch markings, and though it's not shown, there is a double pocket on the back.

The strap will be adjustable, it's just not shown in these photos because it's the "old style"! I used black webbing for it.
