Swan song

So pretty! So elegant! I saw a photo of a black swan and it was so striking, I knew I had to make a version of it for the satchel style. I used black, moire taffeta for the swan's body because it made me think of the reflection of rippling water. The beak is red silk and I stitched on a red eye to match. The flap is a fantastic green with a geometric pattern that sets off the black beauty so perfectly. The lining is green cotton and satin, the strap is black webbing, and the body of the bag is black canvas.
