I will be making more from this obi, but this one is the only one showing the middle stripe pattern. It's the end of the obi, which often has a little extra pattern.

Cherry bomb

A stunning piece of vintage, Japanese obi is all this purse needed to make a bold statement. The color is cherry red with a woven pattern in glimmery turquoise. The colors bounce around when you see this pattern in person because they play off of each other with electricity. For the strap I used red dupioni silk. The back is made with a seriously beautiful deep turquoise-green silk that has a cross weave of blue. Turn the purse and the colors change. The large pocket is red dupioni silk with a square of dark turquoise sewn on to seal the purse's design. The purse zips shut at the top and the back pocket closes with a magnetic snap. The bottom has protective purse feet on it.
