Do you have a physical location for your shop?

I primarily sell online but you can find some of my work at Cypress Vanguard and Parts and Labour (Austin, TX) and of course look for my booth at seasonal shows!

I live in Austin or nearby, can I come to your studio to pick up my order?

I work out of my home and prefer to keep it private. I used to allow it, but there were some, um, odd run ins that made me realize my privacy is needed! I offer free shipping to ease your anxiety (and mine).

I like to see the purses in person before buying, how can I do this?

Several times a year I set up for great shows, so that is always a perfect opportunity to see my work in person! You can also see where my purses are sold in retail shops. Check my events page for listings of where I'll be set up and you can see my work in person.

Do you design and sew every purse yourself?

Yes. Every single one. I'm a control freak.

Is that real fur on the squirrel and bunny tails?

Absolutely not. It's all synthetic, it just feels real. The backing is woven material, not like a hide, and the "fur" will melt or burn like plastic if touched with an iron.

Do you offer purse repairs?

That is something best answered via email. It depends on the repair (sometimes it's not worth taking a whole purse apart to fix one thing). If it's a flaw in my design or sewing- PLEASE let me know! I try to run quality control over here, but sometimes I miss things.

Are you on Etsy?

Nope.

What does Bolsa Bonita mean?

It means "pretty purse" both in Spanish and Portuguese.

Wow, you speak Spanish and Portuguese?

No... not really... I only wish I could! But I've traveled extensively in Mexico and love the language and the culture (and the ruins, caves, beaches, churches, desserts, cowboys, colors, textiles and history... and mariachi pants).

What is your turn around for orders?

My shipping information can be found here, but basically, I mail out within 4 business days of receiving your order. Once the Post Office has it, I can't control the speed of which it gets to you, but generally it's 2-4 days from when I ship.

But the item says "in stock", how come you can't just mail it the day I order it? Don't you have it right there?

"In stock" actually means I have the material to make the purse, not that it's finished and ready to send. I generally sew to order unless you catch me before a big show and I happen to have a huge stock pile of ready made purses available!

My order seems to be taking an awfully long time, is it lost? Maybe you just forgot to actually send it?

If this makes you feel better, I've NEVER lost an order! Usually it is sitting at the Post Office and they forgot to send a notice for you to pick up your package. Check with neighbors to see if they received it, and when all else fails, please email me and I'll see if I can help figure things out.

No, no!! I promise I didn't ignore you. There is a slight chance I forgot, but I try very hard to respond to every single email. Unfortunately my email address is often categorized as spam by email filters. Check your spam folder for my reply, or better yet, add me to your address book so your email account knows I'm friendly.

Do you do custom orders?

While I don't do custom work, If the length of the strap doesn't work with your body stature, please contact me–we'll discuss! I want everyone to have the perfect bolsa!

Who designed your website?

I designed the layout and took all the photography, but I had Beth Been, webmistress and patient teacher, show me around Dreamweaver and then get my design up and running for me. Without her, I would be very sad.

I had the help of my gorgeous yoga friends to model my purses! We all practice Ashtanga yoga with Mike Matthews.
